Ray of Beauty

Ray of Beauty

A Poem by Julia M.

The pain consumes,
The sun, that which brings beauty
Sets mine ablaze,
How I long to be out soaking up those yellow rays.
A prisoner in my own home
A slave to these four walls
The window my refuge set my soul free,
Why has my body forsaken me!
What I used to be is only in my dreams,
The anger and grief build up inside of me.
I pray away my bitter and hope to find a peace,
A peace that I fear will never be released.
