Maybe we've been around this block in another life
and maybe back then you were the pretty wife
and maybe back then I was your love
and we lived this same life of wish, push and shove

Back then we argued and yelled and we threw
love out the window and you threw me out too
and I left you there standing in this same fucked up world
Done with the fighting and many insults you hurled

I may have reacted by treating you wrong
on nights when you'd party & stay out too long
And you might have felt a bit bitter in heart
resenting the ways i acted too smart

Our Love grew aloof with passions gone cold
Both of us losing that dream to grow old.......
So we both went our ways to finish our days
in hurtie and pokey separate grays

Until the next chance to meet up came when
2015 arrived on the bend
Our love was again found against all
Odds in the world from our spiritual fall

This time you're 'dude' so you get the girl
And this time I'm madder than hell at the world
And this time you have to live like a gent
While i have to seek for the truth heaven sent

And you have to get past your past life's own fears
Since i have to put up with your bad for years
So when this time ends and we go separate ways
I'll do the going and you'll be who stays

It's just like before, time and again
Walk in my shoes Dear, learn and listen
I've walked in yours and know where you're heading
You just do not hear these words i've been begging

If you treated me right I would love you all night
But treat me so cruel and I'll f**k you alright
Only not in the way you may have hoped for
Cuz it's always about keeping the score

So maybe next time in the next life, that is...
When you are my wife again, I'll think of this
To somehow remember how you must be loved
cherished, adored, and never once shoved

And if i am half the man I should there be
I will remember to show you Love's beauty
So you can reflect on the joy that is shown
Back into view, oh how greatly Love's grown

I will be able then to see Love's true best
As the spirit in you which passed every test
And you will see me for who I true be
So for the first time in forever we'll make history

You'll keep me next time as your lifelong man
Your friend and your lover, your number one fan
I'm sorry for the fact we cant get there right now
I really have missed you forever til now

This life can be sick with it, harsh and replete
With karma that b***h and the ways we compete
So it isn't likely to find its high ground
not with that demon you carry around

Now if it is okay I'm gonna head out your way
Kick in your teeth and paint the town gray
I guess that's the method of this present day
I'll love you right through the hate, come what may!
