Could it Be Me?

Could it Be Me?

A Poem by JewelsGold
"

Contemplative questioning of situational distress

"
There's a situational force that drives life off course
to a tangent of strife which takes from one's life

And it keeps on taking till the smiles you're faking
no longer mask the pain in this task
called living.

Where nobody's giving....
any f***s away!
No, not today.

But maybe tomorrow some prick will borrow
a tool or two, then proceed to ensue
Some futile effort to fix his own hurt!
While his neighbors stare blankly at their feet in the dirt.
Futility is everywhere, and theres mud on your shirt!

See the whites of your eyes turn red from your cries? Then you realize it's yourself you true despise
In spite of the light of the sun you can't rise
You can't seem to get there buying the lies!
Blocking one's hope, there's so many why's?

If only there were means to break through...
then what do you think you could do?

Conquer your fears?
Rescue your peers?
Make all your problems just disappear?
Become the town hero for this new year?

Unlikely, undoubtedly.
What's futile.....is me!

I am the hardened, heavy hand
I am the one wasting the land
I am the one who wishes for more
I am the one who walks out the door.

Because life for me feels so hardcore
It's hurtie and pokey and terribly sore!
And no matter how hard I repeatedly try
There's always a new reason why...

I can not have the dreams in my mind
The excuses prevail to what I can't find.
And for what point is it worth it to be so inclined?
If nobody knows or sees when they're blind?

And nobody listens and nobody hears
The screaming inside of your heart all these years

Just to get back to a place you once had
To a life you remember not being too bad

To a home and family with cars parked out front
Yes and with all of the care of a c**t
With judgements galore like a fool Karen
Different reasons I had for not sharing!

Complained til it's gone, it got taken from me
Yeah, That's when we humans choose to see

That's when one comprehends the expensive cost
The source of the problems were me when I lost

Because I didn't have any real problems, in fact,
Just eyes to see were what I lacked
Yes, I can agree.Oh woe it be unto me.
Didn't know what I had so ungratefully.

Karma is swift and she's right on your tail
Beware, Readers, and learn from my tale.
It doesn't have to happen again
If humans when burnt will learn their lesson
