I Have Waited

"When you find true love"

For so long I have waited

for my soul to take this

flight- into gratification

and perfection

like a cold winter night.

 

My head does reel

and my heart does throb

with every word

tears fall and I do sob.

 

But not for grief and not

for hate, not for mourning

sake.

 

It's for the happiness

I have found

It's for this feeling so profound

It's for the love

I long to keep

It's for inspiration

which I seek.
