The question of why I fell in Love

People always asked why and how with you I always fell in love,

Suddenly all the memories floated inside me back to June 13, 2016, and I looked to thank god above.

If you ever wondered was it your care or smile that made me fall in love with you? 

Let me tell you it was a combination of the two and a million other reasons that made you stand out amongst the few.

The way your eyes would shine with that innocent smile on your face,

The beauty of each step you took while you danced just amplified your grace.

The time you cooked those delicious meals and fed them to me,

The time you spent at the hospital by my side showcased your love and care which was enough for me to see.

Be it your care each time I traveled you dropped me to the airport and made sure I was fine,

Or be it your love that each time you came shopping and stood next to me like my wife in the checkout line.

When I wished anything in a blink of an eye you made that wish into a reality,

And people who hated me you dealt with them with enormous cruelty.

When I had exams you made sure I study, made sure I eat, made sure I sleep well,

If at any time I stopped studying in my mind your voice would yell and to you, "I love you" I would tell.

You made sure everything was smooth and simple and everyone was happy around us,

And never about anything did you create any fuss.

Now tell me when you did all this why would I not want to make you my wife,

As with both me and you we could complement each other life's.

I can go about writing a million more reasons why I fell in love but now what's the use of these any more,

As in your heart, a wall was built long back and now it has only started to grow. 

My heart realized now it's time to move on as go with the flow,

Even though our break up was over a year old, to accept the idea to move on I was very slow.
