the stain of her lips

the tint of his cheeks

the bud of a rose

 

Its a daring heart

and love

and energy

roses and high heels

and his brilliant teeth

wrapped in my favorite smile

A really wonferful short poem.
I like your use of the associations people have with red - passion, love etc. There was a real innocence about it though.
The imagery of the opening was really affective - the links between her lips an his cheeks. I like the line about red high heels - I read somewhere that they are very suggestive.

This is a nice expression of "red", a color that really represents so many things. In British Romantic Literature, and in many proverbs, red actually signifies both being in control and out of control.

--these lines are my favorite, probably because of the imagery and description. The idea of brilliant teeth being wrapped in a smile is wonderful.
