Maybe I should let you go.

Maybe I should let you go.

A Poem by Jesus Escobedo
"

One of many poems that I write almost every night. Hope you like it!

"

Maybe I should let you go!

Maybe I should let you go,
it will hurt,
it won't be easy for both of us... There will be moments when you will hate me for this,
there will be moments when you will miss me.
TE AMO!!!
Maybe I should let you go,
Maybe I should let you continue on your journey.
Our time is over, it lasted as long as it had to last.
We both used each other, I took what I needed from you and at the same time you borrowed what you needed it from me.
We should be happy,
We should thank each other for everything.
You'll remember me for what represented in your life, the dancing that you love, the immaturity and the innocence of true love, the stupidity of thinking that you were normal enough to stop your journey and stay with me... Que estúpido.
You have a dream, a journey, something so powerful that makes even love look so insignificant, Wait... What I'm saying? If you are love, you are passion, you are life.
Amor! I need you, you need me.
I'll be a nice story that you'll tell to "him" at that moment.
In the other hand...
Maybe I shouldn't let you go,
It will hurt,
it won't be easy for both of us...
There will be moments when you will hate me for this,
there will be moments when you will miss me.
TE AMO!!!
Maybe I shouldn't let you go, maybe you should continuo your journey while holding my hand.
Maybe our time is limitless.
There's so much more that you can borrow from me and at the same time I can learn so much from you.
Why stop now?
We should be happy.
We should thank each other for everything.
You have a dream, you have a journey...
Maybe I should let you go.

I love that you reconsider at the end. You want them to know you care enough to let them go and prosper even if it means a life without them, but you also put it out there that you could both still benefit from each other. I hope it worked out for you. =)
