Colors of Emotion

Colors of Emotion

A Poem by Jester

Colors swirl,

Surrounding us in a torrent of feeling,

Creating, Destroying, Making, Breaking.

Red creates,

Passion of love and anger,

Creating a flash in our life.

Black destroys,

It’s all we see when we die,

No white light to guide us home.

Green makes,

The earth thrives around us,

Growing life in unlikely places.

Blue breaks,

Because it is the color of your tears,

That breaks my heart.

Red, Black, Green, Blue

So many colors,

And we can only live like them.

I really liked the comparison of emotions to different colors...each one holds true, at least from my point of view. I think out of these colors, I like red the best. For no particular reason.

And, out of curiosity, how did you decide what colors to use? Or were they just the first ones you thought of, and you decided to keep it short?
