Three

Three

A Poem by Katie Foutz Voss

In the morning in the morning
I will wake from dreams of
your voice
your voice

there is always one thing
there are always three words
that echo
that echo

And I want to right now
I need to more
and more and more and
say
something, say
anything, it's better than

the fading silence.
I think you're drifting away
and I can't live with that.

There is always one thing
there are always three words
that echo
that echo

"Talk to me."

I've read quite a few of your poems, and I notice you have a predilection for using the same kind of format: the breaking up of stanzas.

Very interesting. Did you know a person's writing style says much about their persona? Think about it for a moment...

A writer is a God(dess), and their creations the reflections of their innermost thoughts, dreams, ambitions...

So how you set up a poem shows a lot about how you think :)
