And this I know of love;

And this I know of love;

A Poem by jesswrecks

Lay with me

Say my prayers, I have

Their nothing but empty letters in God’s hands

Those words, I once said

No effort intended, heart felt

Tongue swelled, always true

I was to you, Darling

Never enough for you,

Would I have ever been

Even with the symbol of

Your existents branded on

My arm, and my chest

You rested your head

This masterpiece, we carved

With our love, together

But together, you didn’t trust

Obsessed with the thought of

My breast caressed by another

Words, once graceful

Now slur with jealousy and deception

Lips, once angelic

Now kiss with demonic anticipation

Break the glass

Of your heart, tip toe

Darling, out the window

Security alarm, blast off

Broken heart, dies young

From the first hello

To the last goodbye

I will remain on your mind

And this I know of love

It brings life to the hopeless,

And it brings life to the child

Inside your stomach

And as well, it kills
