The Blob of Guilt

One day a boy named Bobby was sitting in class studying for his chemistry final. He knew he was going to fail it since he couldnt remember anything. He started thinking what he could do, and he thought of making a cheat sheet but didnt want to get caught and fail. So Instead of making a cheat sheet, he watched his teacher prance around the room until he had his back turned. Then bobby made his move. Bobby knew he kept the final tests in a manila folder because he saw him looking over it the day before. Bobby crept up to his desk without the teacher seeing; he quickly took the test and shoved it inside of his book bag. The bell rang and bobby quickly left.

That night, Bobby studied with that test as much as he could. As he lay in bed, he felt scared and started thinking that the teacher was going to somehow know it was him. The test day came and bobby arrived for class nice and early. He saw the teacher sitting down at his desk looking calm; bobby felt a sigh of relief. The teacher then stood up, told the kids to put everything away and he then started handing out the finals. As he got to the last girl in the last row, he didnt have a test for her. he made sure one kid didnt get two tests by accident, and saw that everyone only had one, he figured out that one of the tests was missing, which had to have been the result of another student taking one the day before.

The teacher panicked, knowing he couldnt create another test in the time he had. He asked all the students if anyone took the tests the day before, of course no one confessed. Bobby sat in his seat feeling himself getting red and sweaty, but played it off like he didnt do it. The teacher quick ran to the office to get a copy, got a copy, came back and gave the girl a test; everyone had a test and was fine. But bobby still wasnt fine, why? Because his guilt was building up in his body, he couldnt take it anymore. Time passed and bobby finished with his test. The teacher collected all the tests, but bobby said he forgot his name. The teacher handed his test back and bobby then wrote his name. Before handing his test back in, bobby strangely took out a black pen and wrote something on the back. The teacher collected it and asked the kids again if they knew anything about the test that was missing. No one said anything and the teacher dismissed his class, bobby knowing the teacher was upset because someone lied, felt bad, but didnt want to fail his final by telling the teacher that he cheated, so he got up, and walked out of the room.

That night when the teacher was correcting the tests, he wasnt finding any perfect or even close to perfect scores, so maybe no one stole the test after all. He felt bad for yelling at the class for stealing one of the tests, but he went on with correcting the rest. He got to the last one, it was Bobbys, and started correcting it. Bobby got a pretty good score, but nothing spectacular. The teacher turned the tests around to put the score on the back of the paper. He then knew by a black blob of ink on the back of bobbys paper, that he was the one that stole the test.
