One In A Billion

One In A Billion

A Poem by Jessica Gillitzer

There's a place my mind wanders to
Where you fill voids the world creates
There's a place my heart lingers in
Where you lift me up by a grace filled smile
There is a thought I cling to
Where you are my missing pieces and our puzzle makes sense
There is a point at which I break
Where your eyes remind me that even broken I am something

This world offers a billion options, directions, choices...
I say there was only one right one and that is in you
That a million loves could not fill the void the loss of your one love would cause
I see you shine even when you think you're drab
I see you sparkle when you can find no light
I see you... I see the rest of me, I see pieces no longer scattered
I see my one in a billion
