This is a place for all
Large AND small
here we place no walls
here they are no more then old burns
Here we are the words
They can no longer touch us
around here we cause the fuss.
bringing your pen is a must.
We're all freedom or bust.

join me friends, let's from this day
make our own ends,
our own ways

Here you're beautiful and fruitful
Out there they can keep their angry mouthful.
Their slurs and spurs we have shed
no longer fed, they're ghosts,
false pride and empty boasts.
What we write is beyond there sight,
like a paper bag on their head at night
we stripped the words from your right hand
your other there's no fight left in.

Join me family, it's a new dawn
NO LONGER will we be merely a pawn
We rite this song

So do we stand or do we sit
write with complex words or a nervous fit?
Do we sail on our own breeze
are we waiting for raking, like autumn leaves?
Who says they can tell us we're down trodden debris
self worth is determined by SELF, that's you and me.
We are worthy!
don't care if were late or early
if we come across burly, surly or girly.

Here
Were all

NOTE WORTHY...

You have the guts to tell your kin, what I wish I had to tell mine. To be honest this moved me in a way that I assumed only meant my blood. But you, I so not have words. When the Gods struck down 12 in 7 years, a work like this brings it all back.

Thank you for reminding me.

We decide our own worth. It's all in our hands. Don't let others tell us who we are. So true. I'm glad you wrote this.

Again, pretty fantastic. This was a great little read, you have such an ability to write from the heart, I feel like I'm getting to know you just from reading your poetry.
Just a few wee typos (I think--)
"What we write is beyond there sight," - is this their sight? There sight I would open up a new can of worms for me and could mean so much more

"We rite this song" write this song? or in the context of the poetry I felt it fitted perfectly, as if writing and poetry and the writing of the poem was a "rite of passage.

Maybe I'm just being anal and reading into things to much ;)

"were all" just missing your '

Also I absolutely loved the line
"are we waiting for raking, like autumn leaves?"

You are dope

=D
