Lights will go onA Poem by KathyBerlin 1920s.Trace my smile back to the old past days,
print this ecstasy into your memory. See the bright flame sparking on the street? And the glaring stars leading our fate? That's the way I keep my dream insane- in this world of mundanity; That's why my dream was one with craze. Take this winter back to that raining day, where we wandered through the mild mist- too dark to see, but too wild to cease. And the glamorous figure- glamorous figure of mine upon the lights; waving, lurking, appearing as a shadow of fame, through the mystery of time and lie. And the wine- the summer wine of yours, as sweet as your heart; sinful as the dark, drowning in an ocean of despair and desire, seeking an underworld of glory, where you and I could hold on to each other, like we have once lived- once lived as soul seekers. © 2016 KathyFeatured Review
