Fear

Fear

A Poem by J.R. Turner

Being alone is something I fear,
 for being alone beings silence.
 Silence is something I fear,
for in the silence I can think.
 Thinking is something I fear,
 for with thought comes suspicion.
 Suspicion is something I fear,
for if there is suspicion, there is something to hide.
 Hiding is something I fear,
for hiding brings a series of lies.
 Lies are something I fear,
for lieing means there are painful truths.
 Truth is something I fear,
 for truth brings consequences.
 Consequences are something I fear,
 for consequences bring an end.
An End is something I fear,
for an end means letting go.
