Depression

Depression

A Poem by J.R. Turner

Depression is real
Every person feels it at some point
Perhaps some more then others
Regret, anger, loneliness
Easily hidden lines of red
Scars from desperate attempts
So sad you can hardly get out of bed
I long to help others, also in this place
Only to briefly relieve myself of its hold
Never able to keep it away for long

I like the first line- great, solid start.
I think the second & third ones undermine it.
I love- Easily hidden lines of red...
- oh to stop the self harm in that desperate place.
I think you've captured some good things here.
