Green Day

Well, my own poem on my favorite band.

Some say that Green Day

Are dumb in every way

I think that's not true

And let's hope it won't stick to you.

They've been popular

They've been down low

They've been tieing it

Down to the last bow

They're my kings

They're everyone's kings

I know others like other bands

Some even have them on rings!

You might know them by "American Idiot"

Or "Dookie" or "21st Century Breakdown"

Some people who thinks that the dumb ones are better

Makes me want to have a nervous breakdown.

I'm telling you, they're fun to listen to

Even on sad days

And that's why I stick to

Listening to Green Day

Some say Billie's a punk

Or Tre's too weird

But Mike can tell you

The same reason why Tre is weird.

Every day I say,

"Why do people hate you?"

Because I know that what people say

Is not true

But since the early days of August

in the nice fall of 2011

Don't worry! I got your back

They will never be a seven.

I hope you know that I say

That I'll always be

Listening to Green Day.

Billie's lyrics are so blunt and straight forward, they're pretty much the definition of punk. Green Day is a band that's done it all and keeps on going. Good job capturing that
