StormA Poem by JessieVery quickly drafted about a recent, unseasonable, storm in rural Australia.
The rain poured
and filled the gutters - streets washed down the drains. The rain poured and saturated crops - months of farming lost. The rain poured and washed away this arid land, our arid town. The rain poured for days without end - we watched from houses, miserable, half-drowned.
