Soft skinA Poem by Jessi Leigh
Your skin is soft and flexible,
your face and body talk without words every moment a new adventure every feeling a new experience Oh sweet child you feel so fully! In your world there is always enough time and a spring ever-flowing with questions; Your eyes see only with love. Your restlessness due to not enough expansion. How you strive for the impossible, find extra in the ordinary... All fears all inadequacies are overcome and followed with squeals of laughter or celebrated with a gentle sigh and a hug. I am old and hardened from self betrayal Mundane autonomy no feelings shown unless it's something extraordinary. Yet I have lost sight of what this means. Immobilised from the risk of loss silenced I long to find the child within.
