Ode to blanketsA Poem by Jessi LeighToday my absolute treat has been to come home, take a shower and cuddle up in a blanket on the couch
Tonight in this gently treasured time and space
- I adore you. With all the longing of comfort after a troublesome day, With all the crazy-wonderful love my wild soul has to offer for the ecstasy of simple pleasures - I worship your existence. Wrapping your soft gentleness around this fragile petite deadfeeling body, My breathe sighs and smiles relishing in its relief - I thank you. Transported back in time to a delicate state of infancy Beautiful memories dance dazily in the air Enveloped the warmest cocoon of comfort and safety the cold war on my shoulder ceases. Your peace and innocence conquers all. © 2011 Jessi LeighReviews
