They Are Us

They Are Us

A Poem by Jessicab

Them, but who are they?

They are them in which history chases after

They are them in which mouths of the others echo

They speak what others fear

They commit to advanced actions

Seeking in depth the stories once told

They are the two missing pieces of a puzzle

The moon brightens up their path in the fog

The sound of running water helps them navigate through forests and mountains

The wind forces them to go the way God desires, and they go, willingly

The fires put before them warm their hearts

The grass becomes greener as the walk upon it

The stars play above as they watch

But who are they?

They are them that love beyond the moon

Seeking God's will over their own

They are them who's beating hearts swirl together like a tornado

Who's streams randomly intersect

They are them who's thunder and lightening shakes those standing in their way

Whom God will reveal in His own time

They Are Us
