Called For YouA Poem by Jessica NevesShe sits there frozen and her cries begin to be hushed, She rips herself apart with thoughts of what could be, She lies there thinking of the future and what she’ll never get to see.
Her body helpless, Looking into her eyes you slowly see her spirit disappear. She knew deep down the end was near,
Calmly, back and forth the sting increases, Her eyes never leaving sight of the emptiness ahead, And her pain gently becomes numb.
Like a wolf in the night sky, she weeps, Her howls echo to the neverlands and lose their way, All they ever told her to do was bare the pain.
Her pain was a blade marking her soul, Forcing her to bleed from the inside out, And the trickling of blood, soon became a river over flown.
Skin white as snow with death creeping over, She looks into the clear skies above as her last breath fades away, She whispers, “I called for your help.”
