The Haunting

The Haunting

A Poem by revolution9

I have never believed in ghosts

But I know that a few haunt me

Haunt me in my fantasies and my realities

They remind me of good times

They remind me that I have grown, loved, and lost

Phantoms consume my imagination

The pages and the ideas pile up

As my pen moves across the page, it shakes

The ultimate weapon is the mind, my mind

My mind is my savior

My heart that is too big for my body is my peace

It screams, flutters, bleeds, shines, feels

Full of compassion

Full of a scarlet, fiery fervor

My beautiful, curvy body exudes strength

The curves of my body, of my mind are destined

To uplift the world, to make an impact on the world

To influence

To succeed

To remain a full body, a full mind

Absorbing knowledge wherever I go

A beautiful mind, filled with memories

Memories of times that will never be forgotten

Haunting memories of joy and agony

The ghosts remain

I don’t mind them, but they haunt me

Sometimes I like the company within my solitude

But I have never believed in ghosts

i think that the ghosts that remind you of good times is just another side of yourself, almost like a conscience

i could say well done but i think that is just not enough to express how great this write is...perhaps my silence will be enough...but then a again how will you ever know???

...this is a masterpiece...love the use of words and the way you crafted this...truly amazing...

Very nice. I particularly liked that you added those lines in between portions of the poem. While I read I began to see you sitting at a desk with a pen in hand, but soon found myself inside your head with moving pictures of memories.... I very much enjoyed reading this. Great job.

This so lovely and dreamy, and somewhat defiant, told by a lovely mind and a big heart..
Never believed in ghosts..they haunt me,in my fantasies and realities
Oh the good times ,that i have grown up,loved ...and lost
My pen moves across the pages and it shakes
Ultimate weapon is my mind,My heart too big
Screams ,flutters, bleeds ,shines,Feels ,full of compassion
My mind destined to uplift the world, make an impact
how I liked these words,so inspiring, full of hopes and strength

I like this poem. It reminds me of... well, myself actually. The language is simple, yet the poem is not simplistic in the least. It reads well and it is quite humorous with the concluding line. I will leave it at, this piece is impressive. Bravo!
