StandardsA Poem by JessicaGadzialaI have this fear that with all this giving of second chances I have given away something vital of myself- my hope or ideals or standards for how I know I should be treated. Though when my arms find themselves empty for months on end, excuses become easier than sticking to my morals. But maybe falling asleep next to someone is more harmful than laying awake alone if it means my dignity and standards stay intact for a change. "standards"- 5-3-13-jessicagadziala
