Personal AdA Poem by JessicaGadzialaI want to borrow his books and admire his scribbles in his notebook margins- steal sips from his coffee and trace his scars. and he can perch himself on the kitchen counter, discussing plans we will never keep while I chop vegetables for dinner- and we can kiss for no reason and waste far too many hours cuddled close in cold movie theatres and not nearly enough climbing mountains or the corporate ladder- And he will love the smell of ocean in my hair and have to reset the timer on the microwave when someone took it out before letting it finish- and he will want to rescue unwanted animals- finding something kindred in how he used to feel- like me before we found each other.
