I lied

I lied

A Poem by Jess.

You asked me if the drinking bothered me, and I said no.

I lied.

You asked if she bothered me, and I said no.

I lied.

They asked me if I wanted to talk to you again, and I said no.

I didn't lie.

They asked me if I missed you, and I said no.

I lied.

You asked me if I'd ever want to talk to you again, and I didn't say anything.

Your drinking did bother me.

You being with her did bother me.

I don't want to talk to you again.

I do miss you, but I don't miss the Man you are today.

I miss the Man you were.

So when they ask me again if I miss you, I'll say no.

I'll lie.

Very personal, but it's nice to release your feelings sometimes, excellent write.

This is really good. I like the way you organized it. It's very blunt but the emotion still comes through. I'm sure a lot of people will be able to identify with it. Nice job!

This seems like such a deep, personal message, and you expressed it wonderfully and in a way that readers can relate to it. I know I did. Great write (:

Good writing for someone just beginning. The format is perfect for the message and the message is profound. Keep it up.
