Like Love Without a Kiss

Like Love Without a Kiss

A Poem by Jessica

Like a bird that has lost his song
I am helpless without you,
I may function fine
But a clock can still run
With only one hand,
Though it may miss the other,
And I can still breathe
Even without you by my side
Though not with the same passion
Your kisses filled me with
But with my own worn out love;
God, I am so empty.

Author's Note

Jessica
This was partly inspired by a quote that Andrew Wolfe made about books: 'A book without words is like love without a kiss; it's empty' (hence the title actually).

Oh goodness, this is so very good! So true that 'love without a kiss its empty'. I can relate sadly but nevertheless very good work!
