A constant battle going on in my head. Internal conflict where plenty gets said. Fighting to dominate, good against bad. Feeling happy against feeling sad. A battle field where I sit on my own. Surrounded by Angels and Demons who roam. Seeking to conquer the war of who's right. The Angels sing out, the Demons they bite; There I sit somewhere in between. Irresponsible victim it would seem.
"The Angels sing out, the Demons they bite." --minor suggestion; put and comma after demons. it'll seem more dramatic, is all :)
it's short but very meaningful. i personally can't squeeze in that much emotion in such few lines as this. wow. you're good!
people have an angels and demons war everyday in their heads, and you explained it vividly and thoroughly...in such few lines! beautiful.
This is a constant battle that a lot of us fight. But low and behold that inside of us is a greater one to those that trust in the Lord. To battle those demons you have to gird yourself up with the full armor: Helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shield of faith and the shoes of the gospel of peace.
"Fighting to dominate, good against bad.
Feeling happy against feeling sad."
This line really stuck out to me:)
You've well captured that moment when we're overcome with the 'two' forces and feel weighed down and indecisive. I like how you've worded this piece...very subtly done. Thumbs up!
great work! The Great Controversy rages all around us, and the battle is fought and won in our hearts, and in our minds...great work again! wish i'd see more poems on this topic here on WC
