MindTrip

MindTrip

A Poem by JayDee

When is it okay to speak?

To say what you want

To mention how you feel

To bring up something no one wants to hear

When is it okay to remind people

That it has not been resolved

And that it’s still a lingering memory

Of mental misery and distress

A treacherous mind game

Winding constantly into numerous new images

Images that our beautiful mind breaks up

Into more, smaller and ridiculous story lines…

A wellness cover of anger and confusion

A misunderstanding of … well, everything

A string for each and every thought, as if on a hanger

A mere imagery of your mind’s thoughts just hanging there

Waiting for someone to pick them up and make sense of them

To put them together again and make sense of the original story

The story that started and then led to everything else

Which just doesn’t make sense anymore …

A simple grasp of every day living

But do you remember how?

…to live …?

What is to live?

A tragedy struck

and here we go…

On the road to finding those who pretend to be there

and then just suddenly leave

Again

Question Mark.

A heartfelt insert of love

But only for a minute…
