"friend"

"friend"

A Poem by JayDee

You say you are my friend

but you never just say Hi.

Please don't pretend

because I know it is all a lie

You would use wise words to make me want to stay

I would believe you then,

Only to realise later of the consequences I would have to pay

And so it was the beginning of a trend...

Use me, play me

Often degrade me.

Push me down, throw me aside

Because you know I will never hide.

Out in the open. there I am

Find a way to use me as best as you can.

I know it is coming, let it be,

Because I know in the end, you will still never thank me.
