The Grey RoomA Poem by Jesse Booker
Come on in, you're welcome here
If you're grey like all the rest There are no colors to be found Leave them behind to be our guest Your anger gives you a red hue These meds I have may be for you What you need is a touch of grey To help you make it through the day You look yellow when your hair gets long Let me show you why you're wrong You'll be happy like the rest With a look that becomes our guest Freedom of thought? Not in here Lest you have nothing to fear We cannot abide by you When your thoughts make you turn blue Woe is me! Is that pink I see? You surely need some therapy Not to worry, it's just a phase You can't truly be THAT way Just spend some time in here with me We'll keep you safe from wicked green Just give up all your rights to us To keep you safe, it is a must! Come on in and take a seat I'll teach you all you need to know What is good and what is sin In the grey room, we'll begin © 2014 Jesse BookerFeatured Review
