Desire

Desire

A Poem by RainFire

Who are you? How could you be?
A million and two impressions pressed upon.
There's nothing to say that actions haven't
 already expressed. You're going away,
our experiment of a shared life failed,
soon only to be remembered in ache.
Next to me you lie, but where are you
really I cannot tell. My desire for you
grows and pride dulls out put, letting
 displeasure escape only in lonesome
wanderings from across the hall. You
don't love me anymore- Fine!
 Thoughts shield my fading vulnerability
of an open heart. "Ruinous"- the word
 whispered all around, the narrator
untraceable.The next words
uttered by phantom lips, chilly as
they might be: "Where, my love, did our love go?"

That was beautiful. Why are humans so careless and ruinous of such good things?
