Blurry

Blurry

A Poem by Jess

Sometimes I fear
What am I without you?
Nothing
Nothing she says like a whisper only a ghost would hear
You don’t feel the tremble can’t notice the ground moving underneath her feet
So sure you have the right picture

What would you say if I left for good?

Without a single word spoken no goodbye letter

What if you don’t know her at all?

What then?

You made me fall in love with this world

Helped me see all the beauty disguised as scenery

Then you threatened to disappear but I'm no magician I don’t know how to bring you back

Abuse my fondness for a challenge

Challenge me to care then go

Tell me if I really cared I’d let you go

Tell me if I really cared I’d ask you to stay

Never make it easy for me

Sometimes I fear

What am I without you?

Nothing

Nothing she says like a whisper only a ghost would hear

You don’t feel the tremble can’t notice the ground moving underneath her feet

So sure you have the right picture but it’s all blurry

Oh this love is a jigsaw puzzle and you keep hiding the pieces

Won’t let, no can’t let anyone in

Afraid they’ll see the whole picture

You always need the upper hand

You hate what you see inside so you hide, and you lie

Letting no one get too close

But I want to get close I want to see all of you

So let me in

Let me in

I never know what to say when talking about myself, and will apologize as I tend to ramble. I find sharing my writing both terrifying and exhilarating. Writing for me is an outlet, always has been. W.. more..
