Going DarkA Poem by JessalynnWatching someone slip away
Don’t go dark again
If you feel it take my hand I know it’s easy to fall back down Don’t listen to that voice, your in charge now I can feel you slipping away Back behind those walls of grey The sunrise can’t reach you there It’s warmth and colors fading, leaveing you bare Don’t go dark again, please This silence is so loud, I can’t hear, can’t breath I promise I’ll try to give you what you need Even if it takes me and makes me bleed I want you to know I’ve never spoke a word I didn’t mean But there are a few I haven’t breathed But I’ll be honest if it keeps you present now I’ll say them all, bare my soul if it would bring you around I’ll hold on like I hold my breath Clutching onto strings of hope slipping through my fingers I won’t let go until the darkness takes me too I won’t let go not until you do © 2023 JessalynnAuthor's Note
