The DanceA Poem by JessalynnThis was originally a song I wrote so it has his and hers parts but it ended up as a poem.
Man:
"Will you do a dance with me I bet it's one you've never seen It's unlike any other dear The only trick is you have to dream" Spinning now like pinwheels Fancy fabrics flying 'round "Hold me if you're dizzy dear I won't let you hit the ground" "Sway with me Hand on my heart Stay with me Don't you fall apart" Woman: "This is make believe Has been from the start" Man: "Don't you worry Baby Just keep your hand on my heart" The music fades away now Or was there really music here at all Woman: "I swear that there were people here Weren't we just at the Ball?' Man: "No sweet girl, it's just you and I There wasn't anyone at all" "Sway with me Hand on my heart stay with me Don't you fall apart" Woman: "This is make believe Has been from the start" Man: Don't you worry Baby Just keep your hand on my heart
