The Wolf and the Bear (Memorial for Jaycob)

The Wolf and the Bear (Memorial for Jaycob)

A Poem by Jessalynn
"

Story I wrote after my friend Jaycob passed away. He was my bear.

"
Let me tell you a story
Of why the Wolf cry's each night
Its because shes lost her love
And now tears blind her sight
She once befriended a Bear
He was sweet but big and strong
She once used to sing to him
Instead of howl all night long
Her Bear protected her
From dangers in the dark
But he knew his Wolf could scare away such things
With her mighty bark
He told her of his secrets and of old wounds,
Every memory he'd share
They'd run and play everyday
Oh how Wolf loved her Bear
She loved her Bear so fondly
She would forsake him not
But one dreadful day he was taken away
And will never be forgot
She searches every night for her Bear
But to no avail
Listen close you hear her song of lost love
Such a mournful tale
And so each night she weeps for him
To the Great Spirit in the sky
"Oh please my friend, my love he is gone,
I feel as though I'll die."

Sounds like a poem about a woman losing her man. It had a decent rhyme scheme. Pretty good poem. I like the reference to "the Great Spirit in the Sky". I've had alot of interactions with that Great Spirit in the Sky (aka Holy Spirit) and believe me, that Spirit has a technologically advanced recording system that records and can playback every raindrop that falls to the earth.

I see only sadness in this write the powers of the Lord about can only heal the hurts of the broken hearted and the love you are missing may never be replaced but your sorrow will be eased each day if you only believe in eternity and forever is a place a second life.

It's a good one, triggers emotion , expression and idea is also good. But I feel it be added further and be taken to wider dimensions
