More for you

More for you

A Poem by Jessa Leigh Hamilton

Somewhere admidst my
Confusion and resistance,
There is a silence
In my mind.
And in my heart
Lies a flame,
Sparked by my tangled
Emotions of
Wanting to fall for you..
They unravel,
Creating a beautiful web of
New beginnings.
And in this moment,
I believe that there is more to life
Than trying to love myself,
And self work.
I see possibilities in receiving
The love and appreciation
From someone reflected towards me
Outside of myself.
I see a fit.
I see a future.
Though I also see the fear in your eyes
Masking the longing for
The feeling of belonging,
And the feeling of purity.
Just the same,
As the fear I have masked
Over my heart.
But under that fear in your eyes,
I feel your compassion..
I feel YOUR heart.
And I want it..
