Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

A Poem by That1Nerd23

Twinkle, twinkle, little Star

How I wish you weren’t so far

Comforting light you send to me

Your little spark is all I see

The calmness of your lovely glow

Makes my heart wish to go

To a meadow so peaceful and calm

Where I can rest and read a Psalm

There’s nothing like a peaceful night

Gazing at the stars so bright

Where wishful thinking may fill the air

Leaving you with the slightest care

No more worries or hurtful regrets

No more having to complain or fret

It’s all about the moment

And all that the last lent

It’s all about what’s inside

And all that you chose to hide

It’s about that release from despair

It’s about recovery and sudden repair

So no more drowning in pity

Yes, it’s okay to be witty

Have some fun but do what’s right

Demolish the old and receive new sight

A very artistic poem indeed. Very relaxing in a chaotic society. Great job!

This is so very good, I enjoyed your words, full of emotions and well expressed

There are a few "and" and things you could lose for the sake of flow but this was otherwise a pleasure to read.

I like the kernal of what this poem is, but there are refinement problems that obscure that kernal.
