This Mountain

This Mountain

A Poem by That1Nerd23

This mountain I'm on
The hills and highest peeks
Will never be within reach
Drifting hopelessly, desperately
Into the direction of my dreams
I landed on this mountain
This mountain to which leaves
My fragile heart ajar for all to see
Crippling fears ceaselessly haunting
Haunting my weary soul
And as if life wasn't hard enough
My days are growing dark and cold
Yet still I rest here day to night
With a dream so far away
A dream even harder to hold
Now...that I'm on this mountain
Now that I can't escape
