More Than a Dream

Snow flakes fall outside my window

I gaze into the beautiful distance

Reminiscing on sweet memories

Holding ever kiss in my mind

I dream about you every night, my love

When I close my eyes there is only you

You and me madly in an eternal love

With nothing to stop us but God above

I wish you knew how I feel about you

How much I love you so entirely

I wish you could see that my love is true

That you are all I want and need

Maybe one day you'll feel the same

And see me for more that just a dream

I don't want to stalk you forever

I want to follow you like a stream

A never ending stream of joy and love

With your reflection forever by my side

I want to be held in your arms until the end

I want to express my love and never hide

But as for now you don't see me

When it comes to me your blind

But one day I hope that'll change

I want to be forever in your mind

It's always tough to be in love with someone who never seems to "see" you. This is how it is with my best friend, he knows I'm in love with him, but never really tells me how he feels. He always goes for different girls and says I'm not "his type" when we get along perfectly. He never talks about the topic with me anymore, about how I feel about him and how he told me to forget about my feelings for him and pretend they weren't there. Pushing my feelings aside and burying them was probably one of the toughest things I'd have to do in my life. Ever. But it's possible, perhaps one day he will see how you feel and understand...that's what I'm hoping for...been hoping for...still have hope for...somehow.
