Love....

Love is more than three words
It's more than, "I Love You"
It's a commitment and emotion
The day you say, "I Do"

There is nothing that can hinder it
As long as your love is true
You can go all your life feeling it
It will never depart from you

But if it's not true as you think
Than it will be hard to keep
Which unfortunately is expected
As love often is taken by a leap

We rush into love because
Well, we think it'll satisfy
But sometimes love is selfless
And it'll make you want to cry

One way for you to be happy
Is to use love to reach out
You can help those around you
If you choose not to doubt

You can encourage and speak
You can listen and hear
You can embrace and hug
You can strive to be near

You must not give up
I can't stress that more
You have to be strong
Even battling in the war

So push yourself forward
And don't be afraid to speak
Tell them how you feel
Tell them when you're weak

Let others help you
Then return the favor
Love is so worth is 
It just takes some labor

I tell you this today
Because it's on my mind
A new discovery was made
And it's about time!

I LOVE this lol. It feels not just romantic love is the complete focus. Using love to slow down and embrace many types of relationships, and eventually some of those relationships may turn into something that last forever. I enjoyed reading this very much.

This is beautiful. I believe there is enduring everlasting love out there.. but even that love will have flaws and questions and be open to interpretation... Sometimes its a realm outside that everlasting love that makes that love endure... just a thought.. When I began to read this brought 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 to mind
" Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..."

In the journey of love there are many twists and turns.. some lead nowhere..
