Shades Of Gold

Sleepy eyes, tucked tightly in

I gaze upon your handsome face

Then I look and see you grin

I feel your warmth and quiet grace

 

Twinkling stars shine in the sky

The ground below me is cold

Your head on my lap, quiet sigh

Your eyes are shades of gold

 

The wind blows through my hair

The trees begin to dance

All around me is abundant care

I see beauty in every glance
