Radiant Colors

In the evening I look at the sky

Radiant colors catch my eye

If ever there was a beauty

So captivating as this

I would be struck speechless

I’d fade into a never ending rest

Splashes of color glide to and fro

It’s like a beautiful picture that God alone

Painted for His children in shades of red

To magnify His love and resemble the blood He shed

And look there at the ocean

Do you see the purity and the light

Rays of light from the sun kiss the ocean goodnight

So next time when life becomes a blur

Look up to the skies, God always has a cure

And promises every battle to fight

I am no religious man but I loved the reference to God's blood. I live on a west facing coast in England albeit on the east side of the country...I see sunsets over the sea regularly and you have now painted them in words

That sounds lovely. I am enthralled by the beauty of sunsets. I saw one yesterday and it looked as though someone took a paint brush and glided it across the sky. That is what inspired this poem. I have heard how beautiful England is. how do you like it?

I love England...I especially love living in Hunstanton on the west facing east coast...Just about to go for a walk by the sea and maybe drop into a pub for a pint...It's my day off

Oh my... this one left me speechless. The descriptions were so radiant and vibrant. "Splashes of colour glide to and fro" and "Rays of sun kiss the ocean good night" were just... beautiful. There's no other word for it. And the formatting you applied just added to the charm.

P.S. There's one teeny typo on line 11 - the 'n' at the end of 'ocean' is missing.
