Give Me Faith

Give me faith to endure this great trial

You told me You’d give me strength

Oh father, give me faith to trust you

You said You’d hold my hand along the way

 

Father, give me faith, don’t take it away

I am in a battle, I know what’s right

This feels so wrong though, Lord

Why? Oh please, give me faith

 

I am weak, my heart is breaking

I can’t stand the pain, I can’t stand you taking

The love of my life away from me

I know he’s not the one for me

 

But Lord, this is such a mystery

I want you my Lord, hold me in Your arms

I run to you, embrace me with your love

These tears here on my face

 

Please wipe them all away

I know you have a way

Of pouring out Your grace

Meet me in this place

 

This hopeless, forlorn phase

I know You’re plans are great

But right now Lord they feel like a mistake

I can’t bare the pain of this heartbreak
