The Choice

The Choice

A Poem by That1Nerd23

I’ve lived my whole life in a suitcase

Never did I stay in one place

I was runnin’ with the hideous Devil

Through dark streets that made me tremble

I thought I had it all together

Livin’ in the perfect weather

Rebellion and hidden treasures

Acceptin’ extreme and rough measures

But then I stepped through a new door

Feeling so weak and so sore

I needed to make a choice for the first time

A choice that I knew would change my mind

I had to accepting the things that I can’t change

The things that are permanent, I can’t erase

And once I did I knew my choice was right

I stepped out of the dark and into the light
