Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by That1Nerd23

Wrap me in your arms when I’m crying

Show me that you really are trying

Because I don’t wanna miss you tonight

If you got a plan to change your mind

I’ve lived my whole life like a rebel

Running with the hideous Devil

I know it was just a waste of my time

But I couldn’t get off of his high line

I knew I was wrong to trust him

Lived my whole life like a reject

To the saving grace I would neglect

Soon enough I became a subject

I want forgiveness, I want new life

I want to see Him in a brand new light

But every time I get a glimpse of His love

I just can’t seem to look up above

Satan’s got a clever way of sending

Me messages of failure and regret

Reminding me of times I would forget

Why my life really mattered

Why I should live when I’m shattered

But then when God’s love I gathered

I was saved from my sin that was scattered

Yes, I am doing okay. This poem wasn't really in relation to myself. (: And thank you!
This poem wasn't meant to be perfect, neither was life.
