Prison CellA Poem by That1Nerd23
I live in the shadow of Regret And battle against Fear My life is like a reflection Of Hatred in the mirror I know I’ve got to rewind And play back all the pain In order to move forward With a life that’s rearranged But it seems like a lost battle Like a failure without a cause I know all things are possible If we can see past all the flaws But life seems to strike me down Before the grand applause And I fight and fight till I’m worn
out I have no strength from the curse of
Doubt So I put my head down, step forward Then step back, repetition I do not
lack I get stuck between two steps and
react Like a man who’s chained in bondage Inside a bitter and cold prison cell I’m stuck between four walls On earth, this is my brutal hell I’m shackled and just seem to fall I have many secrets I cannot tell So this is my destiny, where I’ll dwell Until death rings just like a bell
