Love Untold

There once lived a girl in a faraway city

They said she was like a social butterfly

She has no fear in making new friends

In fact, it seemed to come easy

 

Yet all through life she felt alone

Like no one could see her pain

She swam in a daily sea of people

But felt only stranded on the shore

 

Until one day there came a boy

So shy, yet gentle and kind

He offered her a friendly comment

And her heart fluttered and lovingly sighed

 

The stranger continued walking

Afraid no words would come out

But when the girl began to follow

He slowly turned around

 

In his eyes she saw his sorrow

And the fear he had from his past

She could sense he’d been walking alone

And that he’d spent years accompanying the shore

 

And when they began to talk

She couldn’t help but wonder

How anyone could pass him up

Without gravitating to his heart

 

His eyes were easy to soar in

His heart so full of love

His smile was so enchanting

He was like an angel sent from above

 

Their connection was outstanding

As if they’d known each other for years

They knew that something was happening

Like an igniting spark in their hearts

That washed away their fears 

 

Yet love seemed to stay untold

Until the perfect time

 

Their friendship grew each day

And never did she leave his side

But followed the footsteps

That before them were made

By their Father and their Guide
