Part 1: Alice.A Chapter by Jess Holden"So what do I do?" His voice was nothing louder than a murmer over the roar of the vehicles from the highway. I didn't have an answer for him, hell I never did, but today he was looking for one; one I couldn't conjure up so quickly. "I don't know Jon," I said after a moment of thought, watching a few birds flutter above us before landing on a tree. "Alice," his voice sounded sweet, "I need an answer, I can't do this without your help." I turned to him, a sad look in his deep blue eyes, and sighed. Whenever he couldn't make up his mind about something, he always came to me, but this time I knew I could never help him. His sister was in the hospital after collapsing while walking home. It had been 3 and a half months since and the doctors said she'll never wake up. He wanted me to chose her fate: life or death? "Jon," I muttered, "I can't make that decision for you. She's your family, it's soley your desision." It was like my words were daggers that stabbed him in the chest, as he stood up and stormed off like a commonday child. He stopped after walking a few meters away, and turned back to me. "Just tell me yes or no!" His voice was angry and full of hate; I wondered where he found all that hate. Jon was never an angry person, nor did he have any kind of history with it, so whenever he yelled like he was, it surprised me "Fine! Yes!" I yelled, automatically regretting my words. Why did I just say that?! I thought, turing away from Jon as he continued to walk away.
