Lost.

Lost.

A Poem by Jess Holden

I fell in love at a tender age,
My life so lost within a rage,
That I lost myself and without hope,
I took the life I had, a joke.

I gave myself away to a boy with no morals,
With this relationship, came many quarels,
Little did I know what he did,
Sold me out to a life of sin.

Mere months later I got the news,
Of how I broke the fragile rules,
Of how my life would forever be changing,
Stuck with a life full of arranging.

The doctor confirmed it herself,
Making my life lose it's wealth,
I was losing my future to a baby without one,
I was losing what I had to become.

My mother wanted me to say goodbye,
To a life I've never seen cry,
But I couldn't just leave it all behind,
A life I just could refuse to try.

So ran I did, away from the death,
Ran until I was left without a breath,
Until I found a place that was cold,
Something I knew was very bold.

It didn't matter anyways,
I lost the life, I guess I payed,
Ever since I have ached,
Never gone a day not baked.
